Starry Woods Creations started as a simple idea: to create beautiful, meaningful pieces by hand, inspired by nature, family, and the joy of thoughtful giving. But like many small businesses, our story has deeper roots, in change, in resilience, and in community
Where It All Began
Starry Woods Creations was born out of a major life change. After a workplace injury and a career shift, we (a husband-and-wife duo) found ourselves searching for a new way forward, something creative, fulfilling, and ours.
We turned to what we love most: working with our hands, designing, and crafting pieces that bring warmth and personality into people’s homes. What started as a small spark of creativity soon grew into a full-blown passion project, and before long, Starry Woods Creations came to life.
Finding Balance and Overcoming Challenges
Like many makers, this year brought plenty of learning moments, and a few unexpected hurdles. From equipment breakdowns to supply chain hiccups to the daily juggle of full-time work, family, and business, it wasn’t always easy.
As a neuro-spicy household, we’ve had to find our rhythm, build systems that work for us, and give ourselves grace in the process. Every late night spent designing, sanding, or packaging was fueled by love and determination, and by the encouragement of our amazing community.
Each challenge reminded us why we started: to share something meaningful, to grow creatively, and to connect through the simple beauty of handmade art.
